Flash! Savour of the Universe!
Previously known as Macromedia Flash, since it's introduction in 1996 it has been common place on many websites introductions, presentations, interactive website calendar and world time maps. However, once the realisation was made that Flash and Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) don't go hand-in-hand, not to mention how frustrating long Flash intros were becoming for some website users, it would be fair to say that Flash fell somewhat out of favour.
That was then, this is now. Given that YouTube's current 71 million unique monthly users are all watching video rendered as Flash movies, suffice to say that rich media, namely Flash is firmly back on the menu's of the 6th largest audience on the Internet.
